SCRIPTURES

The Lord will be near to us.

Psalm 145:18  The Lord is nigh unto who call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

We can expect our prayers to accomplish much.

James 5:16.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

We can expect doors to open through our prayer.

Matthew 7:7 Ask (the will of God),  and it shall be given you; seek (the will of God), and ye shall find (the will of God);  knock (pray the will of God), and it (the will of God) shall be opened unto you:

8. For every one that asketh (*the will/Word of God) receiveth; and he that seeketh (the will of God) findeth (the will of God); and to him that knocketh (and is praying the will/Word of God) it shall be opened.

We can expect the Holy Spirit to help us pray with the mind of God.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

We can expect the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to give us great boldness.

Acts 4:31.  And when they had prayed (in obedience to what Jesus said to do - go and wait) , the place (where they were waiting) was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness.

We can expect authority and confidence when we pray the Word of God in our prayers.
